BJP Cull Cow and OTM Cattle Sales

Sale Conditions

All entries are sold under the LAA Conditions of Sale.
Pre entry would be appreciated to inform buyers of numbers.
All cattle for auction must be born on or after 1st August 1996.



Tagging

Cattle born after 1st January 1998 must have a DEFRA approved eartag in each ear (double tagging).

Animals born or imported into Great Britain before 1st January 1998 only require one tag.


Cattle born after 1st July 2000 must be identified by all numeric tags.

Passports

All cattle must be accompanied by some kind of identification document.

Cattle born from 28 September 1998 must have a new style (cheque book) passport.

Cattle born between 1 August 1996 and 28 September 1998 must have both old style (green) passport and the Certificate of CTS registration.

 

Farm Assurance

Farm Assurance is not compulsory but is of some value to buyers. If you are farm assured please make sure that we have your correct details on record to take advantage of any premium there might be to gain.

Older Cattle Disposal Scheme

The OCDS scheme replaces the OTMS scheme for cattle born before 1st August 1996. These cattle are collected every Tuesday at Carmarthen and Haverfordwest.

All animals for the scheme must be entered forward.
